How do I know if my product is impacted?

 

Click here for a list of all impacted products. You can use our Virtual Assistant to make a reimbursement request on the homepage of this site. Refund requests already submitted for the December 1st, 2022, recall do not need to be submitted again. See below for information on how to add additional products to your submission.

 

How do I add additional products to my reimbursement request?

 

Any reimbursement request you have already submitted through our Virtual Assistant for the December 1st, 2022, recall is being processed. In the US and Canada, you can add products from the product withdrawal to your submission by following the information below.

 

If you purchased on www.TheLaundress.com:

A check for the full amount of applicable products purchased on or after January 1, 2021, will be sent to the address you provided to our Virtual Assistant within 8-10 weeks of your original submission.

 

Even if you cannot see all your past purchases in the My Account section of our website, due to a platform system migration that took place in 2022, we will be able to look up all of your purchases from our site and will send you a check to cover applicable purchases.

 

If you have additional products in your possession purchased before January 1, 2021, please email photos of the product bottle with the lot code with your initials and the date written in marker to thelaundress@epowercenterdirect.com. Please use the same email address that you used to purchase from TheLaundress.com or include it in the body of the email. This is the quickest way for reimbursement.

 

 If you purchased from a retailer other than www.TheLaundress.com:

 

If you have already submitted through our Virtual Assistant for the December 1st 2022 recall, a check will be sent to the address you provided, within 8-10 weeks of your original submission.

 

If you have additional products, purchased on or after January 1, 2021, that you need to submit a reimbursement request for, please email any valid receipts or photos of the product bottle with the lot code with your initials and the date written in marker to thelaundress@epowercenterdirect.com. (See photo above for example.) This is the quickest way for reimbursement.

 

If you have additional products in your possession purchased before January 1, 2021, please email photos of the product bottle with the lot code with your initials and the date written in marker to thelaundress@epowercenterdirect.com.  (See photo above for example.) What should I do if I have an affected product?

If you have an affected product, please discontinue the use of the product and begin your reimbursement request on our homepage. Once you have submitted your reimbursement request, make sure the bottle is closed and dispose of it in household trash. Do not empty the product prior to disposal.

My product is not affected, can I still use it?

Yes, you may continue to use The Laundress products that are not included. Click here for a list of products that are not included.

Is there a health concern for products that have been withdrawn?

We issued a product recall on December 1st, 2022 and we recommend you visit www.TheLaundressRecall.com for information related to the recall.

After our product recall on December 1st, 2022, a further in-depth review has identified that The Laundress fabric conditioners might contain an impurity (ethylene oxide) at a low level that nonetheless exceeds our internal company standards. Most fabric conditioners were part of the December 1st, 2022, recall list and have already been recalled. Please discontinue the use of any The Laundress fabric conditioners  (even if it wasn't on the December 1st, 2022 recall list) and request a reimbursement. 

 

Given the above, we have decided to take additional steps to begin restarting The Laundress with a renewed commitment to product quality by implementing a broad product withdrawal. For all products included in this withdrawal, please request reimbursement and dispose of them.

 

I use The Laundress fabric conditioners and I am concerned about the ethylene oxide. What should I do?

 

The impurity (ethylene oxide) was found at a low level that nonetheless exceeds our internal company standards. Most fabric conditioners were part of the December 1st, 2022 recall list and have already been recalled. Please discontinue the use of any The Laundress fabric conditioners (even if it wasn't on the recall list) and request a reimbursement. 

 

How do I safely dispose of these products?

 

To dispose of the product, close the bottle tightly and place it in your household trash. Please do not empty the product.

I’ve already used or thrown away my product, but it is on the list for the product withdrawal. What should I do?

 

If you purchased impacted product after January 2021, but you no longer have the product in your possession, you can still submit for a reimbursement in two ways:

 

  • If you purchased online directly from www.TheLaundress.com, providing the email address you used when you placed your order

  • Providing a receipt for the impacted product

​If you purchased your product before January 2021, you must have the product in your possession for a reimbursement.
